Step 1: Franklin Microsoft Login


It's important you configure this account first; it will control access to most Franklin School resources. Any time you see login screens like below, you know you can use these credentials.




Setting a new password and logging in

  1. To begin, open a browser and go to https://myapps.microsoft.com
  2. Enter the username/email address that was included in your welcome email.

    For students, your email address will be your grad year followed by first letter of your first name, followed by last name. ie 2027flast@franklinjc.org

  3. Click Next
  4. Enter the temporary password (included in your welcome email), and set a new password.
  5. Complete account verification by entering your cell phone number and generated code.

    NOTE FOR PARENTS: Please use your student's cell phone for this process, this number will be leveraged for 2-factor authentication in the future. If your child does not have their own phone, you may complete with your own but please reach out to helpdesk@franklinjc.org and let us know.
  6. You'll be taken to the myapps screen, you've now set up your Franklin Microsoft login. Proceed to Steps 2 - 4 to complete the process. 



Step 2: Google Workspace / Gmail


Franklin School uses Google Workspace & Gmail for all mail communications. You will use the same credential you created above to log in to Google Workspace. 


  1. You may access Gmail directly from https://mail.google.com, or by clicking the "Google Workspace" button in your MyApps portal.
  2. For this exercise, click on Google Workspace in your portal
  3. You should automatically be logged in

If you are not automatically logged in, please enter your full Franklin email address to be forwarded to the proper login screen.




Step 3: Canvas


This process is similar to the Google Workspace login from Step 2. 


  1. You may access Canvas directly from https://franklinjc.instructure.com/ or by clicking the "Canvas" button in your MyApps portal.
  2. For this exercise, click on the Canvas button in your portal
  3. You should logged in automatically


If you are not automatically logged in, please enter your full Franklin email address to be forwarded to the proper login screen. 





FrankLink is Franklin School's Student-Information-System, please note that the below instructions apply only to Faculty, Staff, and Students. Parent login process is handled differently, if you need support for parent login please reach out to helpdesk@franklinjc.org.



This process is again similar to Google Workspace, or Canvas from above. 

  1. You may access FrankLink directly from https://link.franklinjc.org/ or by clicking the "FrankLink (Blackbaud)" button in your MyApps portal.
  2. For this exercise, click on the FrankLink button in your portal
  3. Depending on the browser, you may have to enter your full email address to be logged in.
